For flashings, ensure they are installed in all the correct locations, with DPCs and weep holes installed properly. Stepped cavity flashings should be installed and cleaned correctly, and all flashings must be left clean to ensure effective moisture management.
Check that gaps are left for subfloor vents at appropriate intervals. Ensure all window sills and sliding doors are adequately complete, and that windows and brick sills have sufficient clearance according to the NCC. Additionally, verify that all brick ties are positioned in accordance with the NCC standards.
For brickwork, ensure all bricks are plumb and straight, with uniform and consistent perp joints and bed joints in line with the NCC. Verify that lead flashings and termite protection systems are installed correctly, cavities are clean, and bricks are properly cleaned.
Ensure fall protection is intact, and the area is clean and free of waste. This final step ensures the site is safe and tidy, ready for further construction activities.
