Our story
We started this adventure in 2021 in Melbourne with the goal of eliminating construction headaches. In just a few years, we’ve helped hundreds of builders streamline their operations, grown our team from 2 to 20+, and have set our sights on becoming the first AI-powered operating system for construction sites.

Meet the team
These are the superstars we mentioned earlier. With diverse backgrounds and skillsets, we've got the tools we need to build an epic platform.
James has a knack for bringing designs to life on the web as BuildPass’ (self appointed) Chief of Frontend. He enjoys building intuitive and meaningful experiences for our users and where possible, sneaks in a bit of fun too. You’ll often find those in close proximity to James wearing headphones to drown out his out-loud debugging.
Raf is an experienced developer from Bunnings, working seamlessly across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms. When he's not coding, he’s playing his guitar, or out taking photos with his Sony A6700.
Jon, or “JC”, has been writing software for fifteen years, leading engineering teams and championing back end architecture as a Principal Software Developer at SEEK and now BuildPass. JC is a busy father of two daughters, a volunteer firefighter with the CFA and enjoys mountain bike riding and snowboarding.
Hailing from the small country town of Eildon, there’s no problem too small for Tom and he’s always up for a challenge. When he’s not pounding the keys, you’ll find him relaxing with his cat Goose and enjoying various sports, particularly Ultimate Frisbee!
My journey from creative writing to civil engineering to software has equipped me with a versatile skill set; and I love tackling complex challenges and turning them into elegant solutions. Passionate about staying close to customers and pushing the boundaries. As a professional hobby dabbler, outside of BuildPass you’ll find me hiking, bouldering, or painting a watercolour en plein air.
With a background in landscaping, Isobel brings valuable experience to the BuildPass team. She is eager to assist her customers in achieving success at BuildPass. When she's not busy engaging with customers, you'll likely find her building with LEGO.
April has a rich background in construction tech, engineering, resources, and technology, working closely with builders, subcontractors, and suppliers. When not immersed in the world of construction tech, she spends quality time with her family, hunts down the best local coffee spots, or dives into a classic sci-fi novel.
"Never work with children or animals" Sam did both. Working as a Zookeeper then Teacher, Sam has now transitioned into becoming BuildPass's first Account Executive of the Sales Team. In his spare time, he’s quite busy with his second job, being a fulltime Legend (He also shouldn’t be allowed to write his own bio).
